Our 42nd Meeting!

Our 42nd meeting was conducted on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, and began at 7pm. Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, this meeting was ONLINE, using the ZOOM Videoconferencing Service. Attending was Barry, Tom, Chuck, Bill, Beth, Marv, Carol, Linda, Candace, Barb, Michele, Rick, Pat, and Mark.​

​Notes from this meeting:

• Michelle got the meeting started by reading a quote from SCANDAL IN BOHEMIA, which several people were able to guess.
• Candace read a description of a character, which turned out to be the THE MAN WITH THE TWISTED LIP.
• Barb described a location that was mentioned in THE SOLITARY CYCLIST.
• Barry brought us a fun fact about Arthur J. Raffles (usually called A. J. Raffles), a fictional character created in 1898 by E. W. Hornung, brother-in-law to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes.
• Chuck provided the SHOW AND TELL by showing us a power point presentation he had created from pictures taken during a trip to 221 Baker Street.
• Tom moderated the mystery entitled "Let's Make a Deal", which was based on the distribution of illegal drugs using dog poop.
• Pat let us in a discussion of the ADVENTURE OF THE SECOND STAIN.  Well done, Pat.

Plans for the January meeting:

January's meeting falls on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 7pm.  Of course, it will be conducted using ZOOM.  To join the meeting, click on the button below:

After some discussion, those in attendance decided to cut all regular activities in January's meeting, and instead devote the entire meeting to the discussion of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES.  Linda volunteered to present the story and lead the discussion.
