Our 58th and 59th Meetings!

Until futher notice, the Sherlock Holmes Society of the Cape Fear will conduct TWO meetings each month - an IN-PERSON meeting and a ZOOM meeting.  We are doing this to accommodate all of our loyal Sherlockians who enjoy meeting together and discussing the Greatest Detective of all time!

OUR 58TH MEETING
IN-PERSON - ​MAY 17, 2022

Attending our 58th meeting was Ed, Maurie, Pat, Mcihelle, Rick, Barb, and Tom.

During show and tell. Tom produced a new Sherlock Holmes cookbook he had recently acquired, as well as a bottle of "crime scene scent" remover, called "No Shit Sherlock".  ​

Tom presented tonight's assigned story, which was The Adventure of the Three Garridebs.

The mystery for tonight was "The crafty klepto of Central Park", which was solved by Michelle.  Well done, Michelle!

OUR 59TH MEETING
ZOOM - ​MAY 24, 2022

Attending our 59th meeting was Ed, Tom, Kirk, Rich, Peter, Bill, Sandy, Steve, Paul, Barry, Marc, Maurie, Michael, and Susan.

After some opening remarks,Tom brought out a bottle of "crime scene scent" remover, called "No Shit Sherlock". 

The mystery for tonight was "The crafty klepto of Central Park", and everyone contributed to the solution.

Kirk presented tonight's assigned story, which was The Adventure of the Three Garridebs.

A little later, Sandy was gracious enough to present a wonderful Sherlockian Toast. 

Plans for the June meetings

The story to be discussed at BOTH the IN-PERSON meeting and the ZOOM meeting is THE ADVENTURE OF THE ILLUSTRIOUS CLIENT.  Ed has volunteered to present the story and lead the discussion at BOTH meetings.

At the June ZOOM Meeting only, Rich has agreed to share his paper entitled "Baron Gruner: The Most Misunderstood Man in the Canon", and Sandy has agreed to share another toast with us!

NEXT IN-PERSON MEETING
JUNE 14, 2022

The IN-PERSON meeting will take place on June 14th at 7pm. The place will be Beach PC Computer Repair Shop, 5905 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.
