Our 41st meeting was conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, and began at 7pm. Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, this meeting was ONLINE, using the ZOOM Videoconferencing Service. Attending was Barb, Rick, Tom, Candace, Barry, Pat, Michelle, Carol, Chuck, Beth, & Bill. Linda, who regularly attends the meetings, could not make it this evening. We missed you, Linda! We also missed Ed, who has decided to take a break from the meetings until we resume meeting in person. Notes from this meeting:While waiting for all meeting attendees to arrive, Tom talked about the "Gardner Heist", the true story of The True Story of the World's Largest Unsolved Art Theft. Although this topic created a lot of discussion, unfortunately, the mystery remains UNSOLVED! Special mention goes to Candace, for an outstanding job at presenting THE ABBY GRANGE! Well done! You may recall that when she presented THE SPECKLED BAND, she created a diorama of the rooms talked about in the story. Another member who deserves special recognition is Bill, for bring a poster and miniature ship to help illustrate his assigned stories. During the fun fact, Rick did a great job at breaking down the elements of a traditional mystery story, as ACD did many times during his stories. Kudos to Rick for recognizing ACD's use of the mystery story formula. Plans for the December meeting:December's Meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 7pm.
