At each session, a panel of guests convened to discuss the next installment of Sherlock Holmes stories in publication order, with Herbert Greenhough Smith — editor of the Strand Magazine — once again serving as moderator. Joining Arthur Conan Doyle and Dr. John Watson at the table were individuals who had appeared in whichever story was under discussion that evening.
