Baker Street Regulars (BSR)

Dr. John H. Watson was a man who "was regular" in his habits. He reminds us of that fact in The Adventure of the Speckled Band, when he writes the following:
It was early in April in the year '83 that I woke one morning to find Sherlock Holmes standing, fully dressed, by the side of my bed. He was a late riser, as a rule, and as the clock on the mantelpiece showed me that it was only a quarter-past seven, I blinked up at him in some surprise, and perhaps just a little resentment, for I was myself regular in my habits.

In honor of the faithful Dr. Watson and his unwavering loyalty, we are delighted to establish a prestigious new recognition within our society: The Baker Street Regulars. This distinguished fellowship celebrates members who embody Watson's reliability and show unwavering commitment to our monthly gatherings.
Membership in The Baker Street Regulars is earned through dedication—each individual recognized below has attended at least one monthly meeting of the Sherlock Holmes Society of the Cape Fear since January 1, 2025. This consistent participation reflects the very qualities that made Watson such an invaluable companion to Holmes.
As a mark of this achievement, each Baker Street Regular is entitled to display the prestigious literary designation "BSR" following their name (such as Thomas Campbell, BSR). Additionally, members will receive a commemorative certificate acknowledging their Baker Street Regular status for 2025 after the December meeting.
This honor resets annually, with new membership opportunities beginning fresh each January, ensuring that recognition remains both meaningful and attainable for all dedicated members of our society.
