Our 16th Meeting!

​Meeting number 16 was conducted on Tuesday, August 22, 2018, and began at 7pm as usual. Attending was Barry, Barbara, a delightful newcomer (I forgot to write her name down - please forgive me!), Michelle, Pat, Beth, Rick, Bill, Henry, and myself (Tom).

• Opening Remarks:  After taking a  month off (we didn't meet in July), everyone who attended this meeting seemed to be excited about being together again! 

• The story quote:  Four members (Rick, Barb, Pat and Michelle) were able to correctly identify that the quote this month came from the story entitled "The Boscombe Valley Mystery".  

• The character identification was brought Michelle, who read an excerpt from "Scandal in Bohemia", which described the King of Bohemia. Most were able to guess the identity of this character, including Barry, our resident expert on this particular story. 

• The puzzle/mystery:  Although it seemed difficult at first, Pat Martin was able to figure out the mystery presented in  "Fish Story".  According to Pat, Rick drowned Roy in the motel pool, and then dumped his body in the ocean. Rick was arrested when the coroner discovered fresh water in Roy's lungs!

The next meeting will be held on September 25th, and will take place at the usual time and place.  Because of Hurricane Florence and the manditory evacuation, I have been unable to put together notes for the next meeting, so we will deal with it then!
